WANTED:
VOLUNTEER’S TO ASSIST MARSHALLING A CHARITY CYCLE.
The club has committed to helping the organisers of the The Ambo Ramble 120Km Cycle Event. This cycle is being held to raise funds to build schools for deaf children in Ethopia.
The club is going to provide at least 10 motorcycle traffic marshalls. Marshall Bibs and clear instructions will be given on the day. Duties will be to direct traffic at some of the busier junctions. We have a few people already signed up, but as the saying goes “the more the merrier”.
Meeting at the Marion hall in Ballinhassig at 9.00am sharp on Sunday June 30th. The route will take us towards west cork. (Route map to follow) Lunch will be provided during the day and all volunteers are invited to an “afters” do which will be held at the Bishopstown Bar that evening. There’ll be a couple of pints on offer for anyone who helps out.

Dunderrow Hillclimb Meeting – 20th June
This meeting will take place on Thursday 20th June at The Field’s Bar, Dunderrow, Innishannon.
Meeting will begin at 8.30pm sharp. This meeting is to organise the running of the Dunderrow Hillclimb which is planned for July 21st..

The Dunderrow Hillclimb - July 21st 2013
This will be the first Hillclimb run at this hill. It’s well located with easy access off the main Cork to Bandon road. More details to include directions and a video of the track will be posted in the coming days. For now, we can confirm it will be fast and flowing and will run over approximately one mile. The road is wide and smooth with a good top surface which should provide good grip, in wet or dry conditions (we’ve ordered the dry stuff for the 21st ).
Organising meetings are now taking place every Thursday night at 8.30pm at The Field’s Bar, Dunderrow. Whether you feel like helping out or are thinking of competing, now is the time to come along and have your say. Two weeks before the event will be too late! All welcome, members/non-members.
Twohig’s Hill Hillclimb – 22 September 2013
The annual Twohig’s Hill hillclimb will return this year. This has become a firm favourite with competitors and spectators. For those who have made enquiries already, we can now confirm that we will return to Twohig’s Hill on 22 September, 2013.
WCMCC Drag Race 2 – Date TBC

WCMCC HillClimb 3 – Date TBC
In a response to increased demand and after many requests from club members, the club is looking into running a third hillclimb in 2013. Details will be posted here in due course.
